CRITERIA: In order to qualify for Grant consideration from the Rox Community Foundation for the 2025 calendar year, the following criteria must be met by your organization:

  • Serves or supports children and or youths.
  • The Grant organization must be 501(c)(3) approved and the project in need of funding must be located in a city/town in Central Minnesota.
  • Demonstrates impact to the recipients, exhibits potential for sustainability, and assures equality. The Rox Community Foundation will not support applications that have specific administrative payroll needs; grants that request advertising & sponsorship support, if funding does not stay 100% local to Central Minnesota; or if the request is for more than one year.
  • The average amount for a Grant from the Rox Community Foundation is between $1,000 to $5,000 and subject to available funds.
  • If your organization previously received a Grant from the Rox Community Foundation, please attach a copy of the acknowledgment e-mail letter informing you of your Grant acceptance.

TIMELINE: Each year, the Rox Community Foundation will have two (2) possible grant cycles based on the number of requests received and available funding: Spring (applications received during the months of January-April) and Summer (applications
received during the months of May-July). Grant awarding for the approved applicants will take place at a St. Cloud Rox Baseball game at Joe Faber Field. Dates will vary based on home game scheduling from the Northwoods League.

During the months of August-December each year, the grant cycle will be closed. After a completed grant application is received, the organization submitting the application will receive an e-mail from the Rox Community Foundation to confirm receipt. The electronic message will inform the sender of the application’s acceptance or notify the organization should there be any missing documents needed to complete the application and of the deadline date for final review.

Every grant application will be reviewed by the Rox Community Foundation Advisory Committee for final recommendation to the Board of Directors. Once the final grant award decisions have been made by the Rox Community Foundation Board, only those approved grant applications will be notified by email. The message will inform the organization of the grant award final amount and of the grant award ceremony date.
